I read all three of the Russel Kirkpatrick books Giraffe gave me. Oh my gosh, they were so bad. Like really REALLY bad. But I finished them. I could not finish Twilight. I actually wanted to enjoy Twilight, so many people I know find it such a guilty pleasure and I thought that I would too. Also, if I'd read it then I could actually laugh about it it with authority. But no. Actually come to think about it, if the books Giraffe gave me weren't gifts... it is unlikely that I would have even made it through half of the first books. If the Twilight books were gifts I would probably have read all of them too (er, don't get any ideas, kids, that offer is null and void now). And maybe we should not tell Giraffe that, I don't want him to feel bad again. Giraffe, don't read this. Maybe I should say that earlier in the mouseover text? So anyway it's possible that the Kirkpatrick books actually were worse, but I don't actually want to attempt any kind of re-read to re-assess it. Also it's not like ranting about how bad some books nobody has ever heard of is enormously appealing, whereas mocking Twilight is really in right now. Today's Question: How many tries did it take you to read the mouseover text today?
